First Aid Classes Are Available Now!
Our first aid classes are certified through the American Heart Association and is the recognized authority in resuscitation science and training. The American Heart Association and OSHA have formed an alliance to help raise awareness about heart disease and stroke – two of the leading causes of workplace medical emergencies.
Our first aid classes are developed on the basis of evidence-based guidelines. It is a modular course that includes essential information and training in first-aid skills recommended by OSHA and provides the skills to effectively assess and maintain life from the critical minutes immediately following an emergency, until the arrival of emergency medical services personnel.
After completion of the Heartsaver Adult First Aid Training with CPR and AED course, the lay rescuer will have the knowledge and skills they need to recognize emergencies at the worksite and give first aid until the arrival of EMS, and includes safety training when working with an AED.
Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid Training is another offering as part of our available first aid classes. This course covers first aid bases, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, and environmental emergencies. The course is also includes asthma care training for childcare providers, eye injuries, fever, snake/poisonous spider, scorpion, tick and marine animal bites and stings, as well as how to recognize suspected abuse. This course is also offered with additional training in CPR and AED as well.
